Driving digital transformation and social impact: Final day insights at #UKREiiF

Day three of UKREiiF brought this fantastic event to a close, with the UK Government Knowledge Hub once again buzzing with ideas, inspiration and collaboration.

Our experts showcased the breadth and depth of our knowledge across critical property challenges. Carly Ersser joined government peers and our workplace services performance partner JLL to tackle government property maintenance head-on. The message was clear: standardised, quality data is crucial for effective resource utilisation and better decision making. Mutually beneficial private sector partnerships are essential in meeting this challenge.

Diversity and inclusion took centre stage when senior leaders met to discuss barriers to creating a more representative workforce. Martin Keeler FCIPD reflected on our progress through staff networks like EmpowHer and Ability+, while acknowledging the journey ahead. The panel highlighted how recruitment and skills training are building blocks for a more inclusive workforce, with valuable lessons flowing between public and private sectors to inspire industry-wide change.

Elsewhere on the grounds of the magnificent Royal Armouries our experts drove impactful conversations with leading partners. Jason McEwen explored social value wins through collaboration, while Alice Clark unpacked the Places for Growth agenda and its transformative potential. With our Government Hubs Programme relocating thousands of roles outside London, we're making substantial cost savings for taxpayers while working with regional partners to deliver social value to local people.

Alexandra Morley joined the 'Make offices great again' debate to reimagine workplaces of 2025. The panel explored fresh approaches to creating environments that inspire great work and wellbeing, highlighting how flexibility, social amenities and sustainability are reshaping office standards and expectations

Richard Treanor-Smith closed our #UKREiiF journey with a reflective session on our net zero progress through our partnership with AtkinsRéalis - reinforcing our commitment to sustainable transformation.
