HARD TRUTH ON LINKEDIN IN 2025

Have you noticed a change in what you are seeing in your LinkedIn feed? The truth is, your content might be brilliant, - - - but if the algorithm doesn't see it, neither will anyone else. That's the hard truth!

❌ It's not about posting more content

✅ It's about understanding how VISIBILITY is working now AND how to take advantage of the changes

WHAT IS BEING REWARDED ON LINKEDIN...

  1. CONTENT that encourages Engagement

  2. LENGTH of TIME spent on Content

  3. FEWER POSTS

  4. STRONG PROFILES

  5. VIDEOS

LinkedIn rewards anything it considers "Relationship-Building Behaviors" over what it views as simply broadcast-only content. LinkedIn's algorithm appears to favor content that prompts genuine dialogue.

HOW THIS TRANSFERS TO LINKEDIN

  • #1 • Posts that encourage engagement - comments and replies vs simply reactions

  • #2 • All Social Platforms want you to STAY; thus, they track how long someone stops scrolling. Longer reads is what they want and therefore, use ➡️ short paragraphs ➡️ bullets or emojis ➡️ breaks for readability ➡️ "easy on the eye."

  • #3 • Posting 1 x a day or every other day gives content time to breathe and doesn't overload the feed.

  • #4 • A strong and complete profile boosts visibility and indicates your "Social SEO" is robust. (Does your Profile reflect you as a professional, highlighting your expertise and experiences?)

  • #5 • Videos are receiving higher engagement than text, with viewership up over 36%..

All Social Media platforms are organic and are thus constantly evolving and changing. The challenge for us, the users, is to stay current. Algorithms will continue to evolve, but one thing will remain the same: Social is about People, and we need to Show Up and do what we do best; ENGAGE.
