Question from a subscriber: "I can't predict how many new clients I will get with any real consistency. The ebb and flow varies so much from one month to the next."

That is because you are not in control of how much energy you are focusing on lead generation.

HIGHER FOCUS = HIGHER RESULTS, people!

Take these actions TODAY:

  • Open MS Excel right now. Go ahead, I'll wait.
  • Write down where your next 20 clients are likely to come from (old prospects you didn't close, current "hot" leads, COIs who sent you business before, etc.)
  • Do something to communicate with them, preferably a phone call. Here are some follow up ideas.
  • The next day, open the Excel sheet. Mark who responded.
  • Two weeks later, contact everyone who did not responding initially. Repeat every two weeks.
  • After one month (three attempts), take off whoever did not respond and get someone else on there.
  • Every day, look at the sheet. You don't have to do something every day, but just look at the sheet every day to remind yourself.
  • Eventually, you want to get it to the point where all 20 people on the sheet responded at some point over the course of the month.

What you pay attention to is what you get.

Commit and focus (even a little bit of) your energy on this every day if you want more consistent results.

If you have 20 interested people talking to you every month, you'll close a certain percentage and you won't be sitting there saying you can't predict what your sales are going to be month to month.

HIGHER FOCUS = HIGHER RESULTS!!!
