June 2025 Round-Up

We’ve had a busy and exciting month across the business – here’s a look back at some of the events and highlights from June!

Furnace Solutions Conference

From 3–5 June, Jess Mills (Deputy Editor, Glass International ) attended the Furnace Solutions Conference at the Totally Wicked Stadium in St Helens.

Jess shared: "It was a pleasure to once again attend the annual Furnace Solutions Conference in St Helens. The event highlights emerging trends shaping the sector and offers a chance to reunite with old industry friends, and make new connections."

MCM Summer Party

On 5 June, Michelle Whitney (Social Media Manager) and Vanessa Goddess (Marketing Manager) attended the MCM Summer Party at Sexy Fish , Mayfair, London.

Michelle shared: "We had a fantastic time at the MCM Summer Party! A vibrant evening that brought together some of the best minds in event industry marketing. It was a great opportunity to share ideas and make new connections in a relaxed, social setting. The venue was absolutely stunning, and the food and hospitality were truly outstanding. A big thank you to the MCM team for hosting such an amazing Summer Party!"

CSSA Luncheon

On 6 June, members of The Cleaning Show team – Paul Sweeney (Event Director), Michelle Andrews (Sales Manager), and Vanessa Goddess (Marketing Manager) – attended the CSSA Luncheon at The Savoy .

Vanessa shared: "An incredible lunch at The Savoy with the CSSA – an excellent opportunity to network with industry leaders, hear insightful speakers, and a moving message from their Charity Partner. A highly valuable event, and I’m looking forward to the Manchester Cleaning Show!"

Men's Health Week

From 9–15 June, we marked Men’s Health Week by shining a spotlight on the impactful work of phs Group – a valued exhibitor at The Cleaning Show 2025 – for their efforts in improving hygiene standards and supporting men’s health across the UK.

In partnership with Prostate Cancer UK , phs is raising awareness of male incontinence – a condition affecting 1 in 3 men over 65. Too often, inadequate washroom facilities lead to undignified and unsafe disposal practices. Initiatives like the BOG STANDARD campaign are driving much-needed change.

Together, phs and Prostate Cancer UK are creating cleaner, safer, and more inclusive environments.

AEO Excellence Awards

On 13 June, we attended the AEO Association of Event Organisers Excellence Awards – a fantastic opportunity to connect with suppliers, industry peers, and celebrate the achievements of the events industry.

While we didn’t take home a trophy this year, we’d like to say a huge congratulations to all the winners – and a special shout-out to Excel London for winning Venue of the Year, where our Elevate – the B2B event of physical activity show took place the following week.

Our June Shows

Elevate 2025

On the 18 to 19 June, Elevate – the B2B event of physical activity was held at the Excel London . 

“The response to Elevate 2025 has been incredible” Lucy Findlay Beale , Event Director at Elevate, commented. “From the energy on the show floor to the standing-room-only education sessions, the response from the industry has been phenomenal. We’re incredibly proud to have created an event that not only showcases the best our sector has to offer, but also drives meaningful conversations and collaboration."

World Vape Show, Dubai 2025

The same week, on the 18 to 20 June, we also had our World Vape Show at the Dubai World Trade Centre .

Jake Nixon (Portfolio Director) shared: "We were delighted to welcome back the global community to Dubai for the 2025 edition of World Vape Show at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 18 – 20 June. As well as showcasing some of the largest names in the industry, this year saw numerous new initiatives including our Compliance Clinic, Recycling initiative, Meet the Buyer, our international buyer groups, the return of the Global Vape Forum plus much more.  With a more targeted focus on global buyers in 2025, it was great to hear the feedback of our exhibitors opening new business opportunities, establishing new and existing connections and gaining valuable insights.  Thank you to everyone for their continued support, we’re already excited to return on 10 – 12 June 2026."

While the team was in Dubai, we were thrilled to win Best Trade Show at the Vapouround Global Awards 2025. A huge congratulations to the entire team for this fantastic achievement!

Future Steel Forum 2025

On the 26 to 26 June, we held our Future Steel Forum at the InterContinental Barcelona .

Matthew Moggridge (Editor, Steel Times International ) shared: “The Future Steel Forum 2025 in Barcelona was yet another successful live event courtesy of Steel Times International. The conference, now in its seventh year, was highly praised by delegates for the quality of its programme and the high calibre of its speakers. Kurt Herzog, head of industry 4.0 at Primetals Technologies, called it ‘an excellently organized event with many leaders from the steel industry’. There were three panel discussions and many interesting presentations from steelmakers, academics and plant builders. Everybody went home happy.”

ALFED House of Lords Lunch

On the 26 June, Greg Morris (Group Editor of Glass International , Aluminium International Today & Furnaces International ) attended the Aluminium Federation (ALFED) lunch at the House of Lords, UK which saw the launch of the Aluminium Alliance.

The alliance will bring together smelters, processors, finishers, manufacturers and OEMs in a collaborative industrial framework.  It plans to unlock investment and amplify the strategic importance of aluminium in the world today.

Greg said: “The lunch was an opportunity to meet key contacts from the aluminium industry and discuss some of the topics impacts the sector today, such as Trump’s tariffs. It was held on a terrace alongside the Thames with magnificent views of the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye.”
