The letter about uncertainty

The letter about uncertainty

Hey you,

I wasn’t sure what the second letter should be about. Which is funny… because that’s exactly what this one is about: uncertainty.

It shows up quietly after every beginning. Not with panic, but with that low, lingering what now? That space between momentum and clarity. When you’re doing the work, but the ground still feels a little soft.

I’ve been living in that space lately. It’s been four months since I stepped away from the comfort of a full-time role to build something of my own.

The freedom is real. But so is the weight. Overheads don’t care about your purpose. Tax deadlines don’t move for your burnout. Clients are kind, but expectations are high. And when you care deeply about the work, you want to get it right. Every time.

But this week, the uncertainty got louder. My dad is in the clinic, somewhere between life and death. And suddenly, the weight isn’t just professional, it’s personal. We spent the weekend with him. Talking, watching, just being there. Showing up.

But in moments like this, you wonder, what else can I do? What more can love look like? There are no clear answers. Just presence. Just time. Just waiting. And that’s a kind of uncertainty no business lesson can prepare you for.

Still, here’s what I’ve learned in both worlds, entrepreneurship and life:

  • Uncertainty isn’t a flaw in the process, it is the process.
  • Doing meaningful work doesn’t exempt you from hard realities. It prepares you to face them with more intention.
  • Sometimes, showing up is all you can do. And that’s already everything.
  • The best brands, and lives, are built by people who keep showing up, even when it’s unclear. Especially then.

With The Introvert Letters, I still don’t know where this will go. I don’t have a master plan. Just a feeling. And maybe that’s enough for now.

So, if you're in a space where you're unsure… Of the next step. Of the outcome. Of yourself.

This is your reminder that clarity often comes after action. And sometimes, even action looks like stillness.

Keep showing up. Quietly. Fully. Softly.

Speak soon,

Stephane

Oh dear Stephane… the beauty of uncertainty. I would even dare to say: the more uncertain the path, the more meaningful the work becomes. Wishing you and your family all the best— May you meet the unknown with love, presence, and courage. That’s where the magic lives! Keep showing up. I’m loving the newsletter. 💜
