Obsessed With Becoming: Why Self-Work Is the Real Glow-Up
Clarity doesn’t find you; you have to go after it. This is a reminder to obsess over your growth, because everything good starts from within.
Some things in life don’t come by chance; they come by obsession. And I’ve realized that one of the most important things we can ever be obsessed with is this: knowing who we are and what we carry.
Because everything else starts from there.
You can’t build a meaningful life around something you don’t understand. You can’t love yourself in truth if you’ve never taken the time to meet yourself. And you can’t show up for people with honesty if you’ve never shown up for yourself first.
I used to think clarity would just come naturally. That one day I’d wake up and suddenly know what I wanted, what I was called to do, how I should be living. But it doesn’t work like that.
Clarity is built. Through questions. Through silence. Through reflection. Through asking again and again: “What do I want?” “Who do I want to become?” “What part of me needs healing or growth right now?”
It’s work. And that’s why most people don’t do it. Because it’s easier to perform, to scroll, to compare, than to pause and dig deep.
But the truth is, you have to be obsessed with doing the deep work.
Obsessed with becoming. Obsessed with clarity. Obsessed with finding out what makes you come alive.
The best version of you doesn’t just appear. It’s uncovered. And it takes effort.
Growth doesn’t respond to passivity — it responds to pursuit.
This isn’t about hustling your way through life. It’s about deliberately choosing to know, grow, and honor yourself. Mentally. Emotionally. Physically. Spiritually.
Because until you do that, everything else will feel off.
Your relationships. Your career. Your decisions. Even your faith.
When you get clear with yourself, everything around you starts to make sense.
So, if you’re going to obsess over something, let it be your growth. Let it be your healing. Let it be your peace. Let it be your truth.
Be obsessed with it. Your future self will thank you.
