Turkish Airlines Expands Spanish Network with New Seville Route
Turkish Airlines has added another key city to its Southern Europe network with the launch of daily flights to Seville, the capital of Andalusia and one of Spain’s most celebrated cultural hubs. This marks the airline’s sixth destination in Spain, joining Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Málaga, and Bilbao.
The inaugural flight from Istanbul landed yesterday at Seville Airport (SVQ), connecting the Andalusian city directly with Istanbul Airport (IST), Turkish Airlines’ global hub. The service will run daily, offering seamless links between Seville and more than 340 destinations across the airline’s worldwide network.
A Strategic Move in Southern Europe
Spain remains one of Turkish Airlines’ strongest European markets, with high demand from both leisure and business travelers. Adding Seville not only extends the airline’s footprint but also strengthens Istanbul’s role as a bridge between Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
Prof. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee at Turkish Airlines, highlighted that the new route is expected to generate opportunities in tourism, trade, and cultural exchange, particularly by opening Andalusia’s vibrant economy and rich heritage to the world.
Why Seville?
Seville is often described as the soul of Andalusia. A city shaped by layers of history—from Roman settlements to Islamic rule and Renaissance influences—it is famed for landmarks like the Seville Cathedral, Alcázar Palace, and the Metropol Parasol. The city is also a gateway to Andalusian traditions such as flamenco, and is renowned for its gastronomy rooted in Mediterranean flavors.
For Turkish Airlines, Seville represents not just another leisure destination but a strategic tourism hub in Southern Spain, attracting millions of visitors annually.
Special Launch Fares
To mark the launch, Turkish Airlines has introduced promotional fares:
From Istanbul to Seville starting at £132
From Seville to Istanbul starting at £128
These fares apply to tickets purchased until 30 September 2025 for travel through 15 March 2026.
Looking Ahead
Turkish Airlines continues to expand its African and European networks at pace, with the Seville launch following new routes in Africa earlier this month. With this addition, the airline strengthens its reputation as one of the most globally connected carriers, providing passengers with more choices and cultural gateways than ever before.
