F6S Greentech Synergy is very happy to welcome two new projects in the Agrofood topic, AgRimate and PaluWise! 🚜🤖 AgRimate focuses on leveraging #AI and #robotics to transform the #pruning practices of crops like olive groves and vineyards. With demo sites in Spain and Greece, Agrimate aims to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and worker well-being in the agricultural sector. 💧🌱 PaluWise is developing advanced solutions for the use of rewetted degraded peatlands, a practice known as #paludiculture. For centuries, peatlands have been drained for various human uses, including agriculture, forestry, and peat extraction. When peat, which is dead plant matter, is exposed to air, it begins to decompose. This process releases vast amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. PauWise aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% while also boosting biodiversity and supporting farmer income. The project will run four large-scale demonstration sites in Finland, the Netherlands, Poland, and the UK that will showcase the best practices and solutions for converting degraded organic soils. 📣 Important work is happening on the #DanubeRiver as we speak! The SUNDANSE team, aboard the #REXDAN vessel, is on a mission to gather critical data for a healthier Danube. 🛥️ #SUNDANSE experts from Universitatea „Dunărea de Jos” din Galați, MARINE RESEARCH, the Universität Wien | University of Vienna, and the River Administration of the Lower Danube Galati have been conducting intensive sediment sampling. They've collected samples from natural zones, active navigation channels, and human-influenced "hot spots" between Turnu Măgurele and Corabia. 🧪 The next step is a detailed analysis for a wide range of pollutants, including microplastics and heavy metals. This scientific work is foundational to SUNDANSE's mission to develop effective sediment management solutions for the Danube. Good luck to them! 🌟

It’s a reminder that every decision: what we buy, how we use it, how we discard it, shapes our collective future. 🌍 In this spirit, the #Greentech Synergy brings together 24 EU-funded projects working under the shared mission of advancing the EU Green Deal objectives. From combating textile waste and food loss to developing circular value chains, digital product passports, #sustainable farming, #CleanEnergy, and #ClimateResilience, we collaborate to accelerate the transition to a greener Europe. Within the sphere of textiles, circularity and waste STREP , CIRPASS-2 - Digital Product Passport, SoTecIn Factory, CIRCULOOS, ZeroW, FOODITY and many more are demonstrating how innovation, collaboration, and digitalisation can turn waste into resources, cut emissions, and build climate resilience. 🚀FITT_NESSproject launched its Expression of Interest (EoI) for Twinning actions and support services! 🤝 FITT-NESS connects regional innovation ecosystems in the furniture sector to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing and innovation.
