Seven steps
Step 1 Plan You can’t do this alone. This is about culture change. Step 1 is to
identify key people within your organisation who can help.
Step 2 Research Step 2, do your research. We’ve devised a survey for stakeholders to
help gather information on the current state of play.
Step 3 Workshop 1 Your first chance to get everyone together and plot your
organisation’s current state of digital maturity.
Step 4 Draft action plan We’ve designed the DAMM to help you set out an accessibility
roadmap that’s incremental, achievable, and measurable.
Step 5 Workshop 2 Conduct a review of what you discovered in session one and a
chance to set out priorities for digital accessibility.
Step 6 The final report Present the findings and agree on a six-month review.
Step 7 Follow-up Check-in on progress, refine and keep going!

Editor's Notes

  • #11: NOTE this shows the overall framework for the process Explain how you are going to work together fill this in for your organisation In this meeting you will talk about what level you may be at In Assessment Session 2 you will decide together which one is the best measure of your current position This is NOT a test – it is a way of gauging your own strengths and weaknesses
  • #13: Begin with a pulse check – do people feel there is a well-defined vision? This will position you towards the left, right or middle of the levels Reading the statements, which resonate the most within your organisation? Agree a consensus as to where you would place youselves
  • #14: Populate this slide with the levels you agreed in the previous meeting. You may find as per our example that you rate 1 for vision but four for process. We have used these scores to populate the slides as an example but you will need to update them with the actual scores from your organisation.
