The Gerritsen Collection is an international collection of historical primary sources on women from the 16th to 20th centuries. It contains over 2 million pages from 4,311 books and 265 serial publications in many languages. The collection represents different viewpoints on women's issues and supports research in fields like history, education, political science, and women's studies. It was started by Dutch politician Carel Victor Gerritsen and his wife Aletta Jacobs, the first female doctor in the Netherlands, and contains works on topics like biography, health, work, literature, politics, business, law, and foreign languages.
