EVENTS IN WORLD'S HISTORY
American Revolution
The American Revolution took
numerous ideas from Rome and
Greece early civilizations combined
with Christian Bible. The American
influence has provided credence to
the American Revolution as one of
the greatest historical events.
The Reformation
It is one of the greatest in Europe’s
history. The Reformation intent was
to reform the Catholic Church. It
brought religious texts to the masses’
hands and caused much to the
Catholic power.
World War II
It was composed of African,
European as well as Asian segments
of the war. Women, children and
men were killed during this war. The
world has changed and has never
returned to innocence.
World War I
It was called as the Great War.
PaxRomana
A period of Roman Empire relative
peace for about 200 hundred years.
During this time, there were
numerous innovations that were
developed that are still being unused
today. This peace period allowed the
warring empire to adjust and settle
down to its new sizes.
The Renaissance
During this time, great women and
men questioned the standing beliefs
and tradition. Renaissance gave rise
to prominent names and faces. The
Renaissance was an awakening to
the whole world and the beginning of
all curiosity.
Queen Victoria’s Funeral
Victoria died at the age of 81. Her
state funeral was held on February 2,
1901 at St. George’s Chapel. She was
the longest reigning British monarch
in the history.
Wright Brother’s First Flight
The event marked a revolution in the
human transportation, one of the
greatest achievements of humankind.
Emily Davison Throws Herself
Under Kings Horse
Emily’s protest ended in a tragedy.
She was a militant activist that
fought for suffrage women in
Britain.
Irish Free State Treaty Signed
In 1921, the treaty was signed and
established Ireland as Dominion
within the British Empire. The treaty
was signed on December 6, 1921 and
not on the 7th.
UK General Strike
The strike started as a response to
the British government’s attempts in
lowering wages for miners.
Charles Lindbergh Files the
Atlantic Solo
In the year 1927, Charles achieved
the first world non-stop transatlantic
flight.
Hitler becomes German Chancellor
Hitler attempted to form a coalition
government and he was appointed as
the Chancellor of Germany.

Hindenburg Airship Crash
It was the largest airship in the
world. It was destroyed in fire that
resulted in death of 33 crew and
passengers on board the fatal flight.
Germany Invades Poland
In 1939, Germany forces invaded
Poland. Without any warning, their
planes bombed cities, which included
the Warsaw capital.
Pearl Harbour Attacked
The Imperial Japanese Navy
launched an air attack against the US
naval base at Pearl Harbor.
Hiroshima Atomic Bomb
Little Boy was the first atomic bomb
used as weapon and was dropped at
the Hiroshima flat terrain on August
6, 1945. There were nearly 70,000
people who were killed, but at the end
of 1945, nearly 100,000 were killed.
Pakistan and India Gain
Independence
Pakistan was declared a separate
nation on August 14, 1947 from
Britain. On August 15, 1947, India
became an independent nation.
Mao’s Communists Take Over
China
In 1949, China was proclaimed
Communist State. Chairman Mao
Zedong of the communist party took
over the Government reign as well as
proclaimed the People’s Republic of
China.
Korean War Starts
On June 25,1950, communist North
Korea armed forces bulldozed their
way to South Korea. This event set
off the war.
Nuclear Submarine
The US launched the first nuclear
submarine around the world.
Roger Bannister
On May 6, 1954, Roger became the 1st
man that broke the 4-minute mile.
24 Hour Race Disaster
On June 11,1955, the 24-hour Le
Mans motor race had killed 84
individuals.
Hurricane Katrina
With nuclear explosion power, the
Hurricane Katrina landfall on August
29, 2005 in Louisiana.
Global Financial Crisis
Many economists said that 1930s
Great Depression was the worst
financial crisis that resulted to a total
collapse of big financial institutions,
stock markets downturns as well as
banks bailouts by the national
government. In numerous areas,
housing market suffered also that
resulted in foreclosures, evictions as
well as prolonged unemployment. It

Intelligence Agency that was operated
by US Navy SEALs coming from US
Naval Special Warfare Development
Group with support from CIA
operatives.
Nelson Mandela
Mandela was the 1st South Africa
president who was elected in a
democratic election. The cause of his
death: respiratory infection.
South Africa observed a 10 days
mourning period with were memorial
services. The memorial service was
at the Johannesburg FNF Stadium
from December 11 to 13, 2013.
Spanish garrison
In 1574, the Spanish garrison of
Netherlands surrenders.
Gregorian calendar
In 1583, Groningen, Netherlands
starts using the Gregorian Calendar.
Boris Godunov
In 1598, Boris Godunov crowned the
Russia Tsar.
Michael Romanov
In 1613, The son of Moscow
Patriarch, Michale was elected as the
first Russian Tsar of Romanov
house.
Michiel A de Ruyter
In 1673, Michiel was appointed It-
admiral general of fleet Dutch.
Prince Willem III
In 1675, Prince Willem III was
appointed as the Gelderland viceroy.
Jacob Rising 1745
In 1746, the Britich forces surrender
Inverness Castle to Prince Charlie as
well as Jacobite forces.
US mint
In 1782, the United States Congress
resolves the establishment of US
mint.
The Apollo mission
The mission paved way for
numerous other studies about
universe. If not for the Apollo
mission, there would not have been
giant leap for mankind. The mission
was commissioned by NASA.
Cold war
It is one of the World War II
aftermaths that have its own
implications. It was the period of
tension between the Soviet Union
and United States. The war end came
during Berlin wall fall and the
nuclear disarmament of nations. In
addition, because of the cold war,
America emerged as peace-keeping
nations pioneer.
