- 16. INSTALLATION ANALYSIS Installer: easy to use, includes some demo documents and an embedded MariaDB database. Avaiable for Windows, Linux and MacOS. Good for starting to play with Knowage without too many technical skills. Avaiable here. Manual Installation: recommended for production environments. Is required that on your server a database and an application server are already installed. Clean and customizable installation without demo documents. Avaiable here.
- 17. MANUAL INSTALLATION ANALYSIS 1. Create a db schema for Knowage Metadata: scripts are available here. 2. Add required libraries and JDBC drivers to Tomcat lib folder 3. Create «resources» folder inside Tomcat 4. Download and copy the war files inside webapps folder (download from here) 5. Edit confserver.xml to add Environment variables and connection to Knowage database, cache and business data database. 6. For each (JNDI) datasource you must define a resource link in the context.xml of the web applications 7. Change database dialect in hibernate.cfg.xml and quartz.properties for some web apps Don’t worry all this steps are detailed in our Knowage Installation Manual!
