This study measures uranium concentrations in groundwater and soil samples from Al-Najaf, Iraq, using solid state nuclear track detector techniques. The findings indicate that uranium levels in both mediums are below the safe limits established by WHO and UNSCEAR. Specifically, groundwater concentrations ranged from 1.62 to 5.08 μg/l, and soil concentrations varied from 0.09 to 0.18 ppm.
