The paper analyzes the performance of various symbol detection techniques in wireless MIMO systems using 4x4, 4x6, and 4x8 configurations with 4-QAM and 16-QAM modulation over Rayleigh fading channels. It compares detection algorithms such as Zero Forcing (ZF), Linear Least Squares Estimator (LLSE), V-BLAST/ZF, and V-BLAST/LLSE, concluding that the performance of 4x8 antennas with the 4-QAM modulation scheme outperforms others. The results indicate that while higher modulation schemes can degrade performance, increasing the number of receiver antennas enhances Symbol Error Rate (SER).
