This document presents a new blind adaptive channel shortening method called MERRY for multi-carrier systems, specifically focusing on the discrete Fourier transform-dmt (DFT-DMT) and discrete sine transform-dmt (DST-DMT) approaches. The proposed algorithm improves performance by achieving higher bit rates with lower complexity while addressing issues like inter-symbol and inter-carrier interference. Simulation results demonstrate that the DST-DMT system outperforms the DFT-DMT system in terms of bit rate and efficiency under the same conditions.
