- 1. AnaouskaYearsley Hey Rough Harmony! You’ve changedso much- you’ve all grown up! Yes,yeswe have.We’re all more mature and a whole lotmore grownup. What has been your biggest challenge asa band? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how? Well as you may know I had a big problem with alcohol… I had been out for a drink in the bar after a gig we had just done; I then appeared up at the hotel room with a deep gash in my head and no memory of how I had done it. After I shocked the guys by returning covered in blood, the next day I had realised how much I’d hurt them and immediately stopped drinking. My drinking habit was on the verge of breaking us. They told me they were to be supportive to me even if the band couldn’t make it through this because they thought I didn’t care. I didn’t drink and solidly practiced and thought of band ideas and songs to prove to them I really do care. How long have you all known each other? How did you meet? We all went to primary school with eachother and played out together as children as we all lived on the same block. When did you form your band? What inspired you to make music together? Well as we all grew up together; hung out together we did basically everything together. We used to play in my Dads garage as a hobby. To be honest, we’ve all grew up from a musical background as our parents are into music which is a big inspiration. What advice do you have for people who want to form their own bands? If it’s something you enjoy doing with the people you enjoy doing it with it shouldn’t feel like a job or career but that almost hobby like feeling that we started off with. Your fans seem to always know where you are and you’ve got so much power over them - can that be scary? Yes, it’s crazy that fans start crying when they hear anything is possible but at the same time I’ve written the song for them to empathise and sometimes react emotionally. Do I sometimes fear the fans? There are situations that are overwhelming, but you get used to it and usually I know what to do. I hear your new song “Anything is possible is a real hit... Well we don’t think of it like that we think of it as a personal achievement not just another day at the top of the charts, it means alot to us as a band for it to be successful because it feels like we’ve got support from our fans.
