ASR5K can act as a SGW, PGW, and GGSN. ASR5K is used in 4G network and is a part of the evolved packet core. Cisco ICSR is a Cisco patented feature to back up a gateway. In live network every gateway has a secondary gateway to recover from the failure of the primary gateway during a power failure, server failure or any other hardware issues so that the secondary gateway is can take over during emergencies. This project is based on ASR ICSR, and comprises the testing of the ASR gateway with respect to ICSR feature for backup and recovery. Responsibilities: • Execute test cases manually for various behaviors of ASR gateway with respect to SPGW feature • Validate the logs and upload the result in the test management tool • Update the basic test procedure with detailed and sophisticated steps after execution • Write test scripts for the manually executed cases and validate the test scripts • Report the execution status to client on a daily basis • Prepare the weekly status report of testing • Analyze and review the VoLTE System requirements • Involved in Effort estimation of writing new test cases • Testing scenarios using eNodeB, MME, HSS simulator, SPGW configuration, P- CSCF configuration
