This document outlines the structure and objectives of the Human Dimensions of Climate Change (HDCC) interagency collaborative. The HDCC aims to address challenges natural resource agencies face from climate change impacts on lands, waters, and dependent human communities. Its goals are to develop frameworks to identify human climate impacts and adaptation opportunities across agencies. Initial activities include identifying key human dimensions questions, conducting case studies, creating a social-economic climate project database, and developing principles and guidelines for using social science to inform climate-related resource management decisions. The HDCC involves coordination between federal agencies and is scoped as a three-year project.
