Creating a google site
- 1. Creating a Google Site Make sure you are logged in to Google!
- 2. Go to the website - sites.google.com If you are logged in you will see this screen Click the CREATE button
- 3. Select Blank template Name your site with YOUR OWN NAME Click the CREATE button
- 4. Your site will look like this
- 5. Pull down the more actions menu Select Manage site
- 6. Uncheck the box that says Show site name at top of pages
- 7. Scroll down (about halfway) click Configure search
- 8. Uncheck - Enable Search Click OK
- 9. Click Save Click Cancel Look for the message Your changes have been saved
- 10. Your site will look like the one below
- 11. Click the More actions button Click Edit site layout
- 12. Click in the top part of the site to Edit site header
- 13. At the bottom click the Choose File button
- 14. Look in the downloads area for your logo
- 15. Click More actions Select Edit site layout
- 17. In the dialogue box type and format your copyright statement To get the copyright symbol hold down the ALT key and type 0169 on the right hand number pad Click OK
- 18. Click Close to return to the view below
- 19. Click More actions Select Manage site
- 20. Select Themes, fonts and colours
- 21. Change the background colour for Entire page
- 22. Change the background colour for Site header
