- 1. My Life Before MAT… • I have a Bachelors in Environmental Engineering from Syracuse University. • I worked as a civil engineer in the Syracuse area for 13 years. • I was very involved with the local Society of Women Engineers (SWE) section and fell in love with working with students. I thought it would be an amazing thing to be able to go to work every day with the goal of getting students excited about science and engineering! •Other stuff? Well, since joining the MAT program there is no “other stuff” in my life!! I try to spend as much time as possible with the folks in these pictures. We do live on a farmette, which is always an adventure!
- 2. LaFayette Jr/Sr High School LaFayette is a smaller school. The building houses the Junior High upstairs and the Senior High downstairs. Graduating class size is about 60 students. The school serves students in the Town of LaFayette and also students from the Onondaga Nation. This brings a very unique cultural diversity to the school. The Haudenosauneeflag flies in unison with the American flag on the front lawn.

My Classroom I am currently the “teacher of record” for three classes: •AP Physics (7 students – meets 1 period every day, extra lab period every other day) •Regents Physics (17 students – meets 1 period every day, extra lab period every other day) •Applied Physics (16 students – meets 1 period every day) All of my classes are comprised of juniors and seniors of varying math ability!
