Putting an excel file onto blogger
- 1. I needed to figure out how to get an excel file onto blogger. I attempted to use slideshare but excel spreadsheet files cannot be converted on there. I then had to do some research to try and figure out how I could get the file onto blogger. I find a website (http://www.wchingya.com/2009/01/how-to-add-excel-files- to-blogger.html) and then found out that I had to use Google Docs which I didn’t know existed until this moment. I then went onto google and looked at the toolbar at the top in which I was unable to find a title that said ‘Documents’
- 2. I then decided to type ‘google docs’ into the google search bar and fortunately found it. Below shows how I opened the file that I needed onto this spreadsheet. I then attempted to change the colour of this chart which didn’t work as I wanted to highlight the girls to change it to pink and instead both the boys and girls part turned pink.
- 3. When this happened I then had to think of a solution/another way to get the excel file onto blogger but from using Google Docs I have learnt how to use the basic tools. I returned to excel to view my original file: I finally resorted to copy and pasting the excel chart into a Microsoft word page and then putting it onto slideshare from there. To
- 4. What Have I learnt? I have re-taught myself to create a chart in excel as I haven’t used excel for many years. From attempting to use excel to present my work, I have learnt that excel files can’t directly be linked onto blogger. An excel file cannot be converted into a slide share presentation. I have learnt how to use the basic tools in Google Docs.
