Development-Finance-Impact Project–Digital-Artifact IN RESPONSE TO THE INSTRUCTIONS TO CREATE A PROJECT THAT CONVEYS (EITHER) SOMETHING IMPORTANT THAT HAS BEEN LEARNED (OR) A PROPOSED FINANCING SOLUTION TO A DEVELOPMENT PROBLEM, I WOULD LIKE TO ARTICULATE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT I HAVE LEARNED IS THE “SUSTAINABLE-DEVELOPMENT-GOALS”(SDGS) THE RATIONALE BEHIND AND THE PURPOSE IN ORDER TO GET TO THE DESIRED GOALS/OBJECTIVES & I HAVE COMPILED BY ADDING SOME PICTURES.
- 2. In-order-to-get Dignity we-need-to: End poverty in all its forms everywhere & fight inequality. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture. And for People we-need-to:- Ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages. Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. No-Poverty, No-Hunger, Good-Health, Quality-Education, Gender-Equality, Clean-Water-&-Sanitation, Clean-Energy, Good- Jobs-&-Economic-Growth, Innovation-&-Infrastructure, Reduced- Inequalities, Sustainable-Cities-&-Communities, Responsible- Consumption, Protect-the-Earth, Life-Below-Water, Life-on-Land, Peace-&-Justice, Partnerships-for-the-Goals.
- 3. And for Planet we-need-to:- Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss. And for Partnership we-need-to:- Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.

And for Justice we-need-to:- Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels. And for Prosperity we-need-to:- Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation. Reduce inequality within and among countries. Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
- 5. Sustainability and Climate Change Dimension The most universal dimension is, of course, the sustainability dimension. The global climate change perspective. Everything we do has to be sustainable. Sustainability is absolutely crucial. And universality and sustainability come together. We are in dire need of a very strong advocacy/knowledge about these goals. To welfare the most vulnerable countries, is in fact in the interest of developed countries.
- 6. We live in a day and age of complete different communications possibilities. We need to have the support of the people, and the knowledge of the people of these goals. They should know that the member states have signed on to these objectives. And therefore, the advocacy for the goals, and the study of the goals and them becoming living realities for a civil society, for the scientific community, the academic world, the private sector, you and me. It's absolutely crucial.
- 7. The most important thing is the implementation of the goals to turn them into reality not only on the international arenas, but also on the national and even the local levels. The implementation, the realization of these goals is absolutely crucial.
- 8. The goals now are containing such issues like transfer of technology, the great challenge of migration. We have the issue of urbanization, 60% of humanity living in cities, with what that implies in terms of pressure on resources and infrastructure. Industrialization much needed for countries in Africa to move from exporting raw material to advancing their own industry. All this is a much more dynamic set of goals. But these new goals are all universal.
- 9. The future is the horizon and the vision. Our life needs to have a horizon and a vision. To deal with the challenges we have, we have to have a horizon and vision. "The future is also the step we take tomorrow." In other words, we need a vision in order to take the right steps. And the vision is set by these new goals, ie, SDGs. All of us need to take these steps to ensure that the vision is being reached. Everybody have to play his role individually, locally, nationally & internationally.
- 10. The Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) being a reflection of the situation in the world today; reflect that we need peace, development, respect of human rights and rule of law. Because these goals are transformational representing a new way of thinking. These can be said too many goals; & complex ones." Actually, they are complex, & many, because the world is complex.
- 11. Development is a life-in-peace, life-without- poverty & without- inequalities, respect-of- human-rights, and the-belief-in- governance & in- good-and-strong- institutions.
- 12. All the Multilateral- Development- Banks(MDBs) ought to work together to achieve SDGs.
