INTRODUCTION
EGG SHELL POWDER
 Development of a nation not any depends upon the technology but also depends
upon the infrastructure.
 Without concrete infrastructure is not possible.
 The major element of concrete is cement.
 Since cement price volatile and demand is so high , an alternate material can be
used for replacement of cement.
 Since several replacement experiments were done for course and fine aggregate.
 Our project describes the effect of replacement of eggshell powder for cement in
proportion such as 5%, 10%, 15% .
LITERATURE REVIEW
 Paveen kumar R .
Carried out the partial experiment and reported that egg shell powder (ESP)
can be used and also reported that foamed concrete were prepared by egg
albumen which has reduced the cost and time project 1% and 5% eggshell
were used. That 5% of eggshell powder consists of unstable compressive
strength and higher flexural strength with increase density .

Carried out the experimental by using 15% of egg shell powder as a partial
replacement in cement and concrete. And there is increase in compressive
strength.

By using 15% of egg shell powder as a partial replacement in cement
concrete . Maximum strength was achieved as partial replacement for cement.

 We are use cement OPC 53 grade.
 Ratio of mix M25 ( 1:1:2 ).
 A cement is a binder a substance used for construction that sets
hardens and adheres to other materials binding them together.

COURSE AGGREGATE
Course aggregate are components found in many areas of the construction
industry. They have structural use such as a base layer or drainage layer
below pavements and in mixtures like asphalt and concrete.
FINE AGGREGATE
Fine aggregate generally consist of natural sand or crushed stone with
most particles passing through a 4.25 mm sieve.
EGG SHELL POWDER
The egg shell waste lands in the poultry manufacturing have been
highlighted because of its recovery potential. Egg shell waste is available
in huge amount from the food processing egg breaking and shading
industries.

 As per now we have created natural concrete cubes of size (150mm x
150mm x150mm) by the help of cement sand and natural aggregate.
 The mix of grade M25 correspond approximately to the mix proportion (
1:1:2 ) respectively.
 After completing natural concrete cubes our focus on making concrete
cubes with the help of egg shell powder by replacement by cement
concrete 5%, 10%, 15% and curing and result have been obtained.

CONCLUSION
 As we replaced eggshell powder in the cement in the different
proportions we conclude that the weight and strength varies
accordingly. As we increases the compressive strength also
decreases rapidly. As per our observation we found that.
 In M25 the strength of concrete in increase in proportion of egg
shell powder.
SCOPE OF THE WORK
 The scope of the work study is to cast the concrete specimens and
conduct the compressive strength test, split tensile strength test and
flexural strength test at 7th & 28 day, with specified percentage of
egg shell powder and compare it with the controlled concrete
specimens. In this project M25 concrete is designed for various
combination.
