WHAT TO DO BEFORE &
AFTER TERRORISM ATTACK
BEFORE A TERRORIST ATTACK
• Be vigilant. Terrorist attacks usually happen in
public places. Keep a watch for suspicious
behaviour, vehicles or packages.
• If you have any fears or suspicions, tell the police.
• When you’re in buildings and on public transport,
make sure you know where the emergency exits
are.
AFTER THE ATTACK
• Help others with first aid if it’s safe to do so.• Tell
the police if you saw anything that might be useful.
• If you’re concerned about a loved one, contact the
police.
• You could be suffering from shock but not realise it.
See a doctor as soon as possible.

WHAT TO DO BEFORE AND
AFTER
VOLCANIC ERUPTION
SOME TIPS FOR SURVIVAL
• IF YOU ARE UNDER A VOLCANO WARNING:
• Listen for emergency information and alerts.
• Follow evacuation or shelter orders. If advised to
evacuate, then do so early.
• Avoid areas downstream of the eruption.
• Protect yourself from falling ash.
• Do not drive in heavy ash fall.
Another important example
• Prepare all necessary things to bring once
evacuation is needed. Those in danger zones are
warned when to evacuate. Once given the signal
refrain from saying you will be all right. Refusing to
evacuate will pose more serious problems.
EXAMPLE
ERUPTION
What to do
• AFTER THE VOLCANIC ERUPTION
• DO not go yet to the place where the ERUPTION
happen because ash can suffocate you
WHAT TO DO BEFORE AND
AFTER
TYPHOON
BEFORE
• Before the Typhoon:
• Store an adequate supply of food and clean water
• Prepare foods that need not be cooked.
• Keep flashlights, candles and battery-powered radios within easy
reach.
• Examine your house and repair its unstable parts.
• Always keep yourself updated with the latest weather report.
• Harvest crops that can be yielded already.
• Secure domesticated animals in a safe place.
• For fisher folks, place boats in a safe area.
• Should you need to evacuate, bring clothes, first aid kit,
candles/flashlight, battery-powered radio, food, etc.
AFTER
• After the Typhoon:
• If your house was destroyed, make sure that it is already
safe and stable when you enter.
• Beware of dangerous animals such as snakes that may
have entered your house
• Watch out for live wires or outlet immersed in water.
• Report damaged electrical cables and fallen electric posts
to the authorities.
• Do not let water accumulate in tires, cans or pots to avoid
creating a favorable condition for mosquito breeding.
