I learned several skills for editing film openings, including how to add freeze frames to pause characters while the film continues, how to adjust audio levels and fade sounds in and out, and how to speed up or slow down clips to better fit the genre. Adjusting lighting helped improve very dark corridor scenes. Changing clips to black and white allowed freezing certain frames. Adjusting volume muted out background noises to focus on the film and song. Transitions between scenes were used effectively to show changes without looking unprofessional.
