This paper compares the performance of Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) and Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) techniques for a cascaded three-level inverter. The simulation results indicate that SVPWM outperforms SPWM in terms of better DC-bus utilization and improved spectral performance. The study employs MATLAB/Simulink to analyze the efficacy of both techniques in various operational conditions.
