- 1. WELCOME TO THE JAMES EARL CARTER LIBRARY
- 2. In this module, you will learn a bit about the library and where you can turn for information and help. If nothing else, please remember that if you ever have questions, you can always ask a librarian!
- 3. Library Hours Sunday 2 pm - 10 pm Monday-Thursday 8 am - 10 pm Friday 8 am - 3 pm Saturday 9 am - 5 pm Hours listed are for Fall and Spring semester classes. Exceptions will be posted at entrance to the Library and on the Library's website.

- 7. Your Library Card Your GSW student ID serves as your Library card and allows you to check out materials from the Library.
- 8. Circulation Time General Materials: 28 Days Audio-Visual Materials: Overnight Reserve Materials: 2 Hours In-Library Use Only Popular DVDs 7 Days Interlibrary Loan: Dependent upon lending library
- 9. Overdue and Lost Book Charges General Books: $.25 per Day Reserve Materials: $.25 per Hour Lost or Severely Damaged Materials: Replacement Cost of Material + $20.00 Processing Fee. ($20.00 refundable if material found and returned) Popular DVDs $.50 per Day Interlibrary Loans Flat fee of $25 for books returned 14 days past due date.
- 10. Using GALILEO Off Campus To use GALILEO off campus, you MUST have the current password. There are three ways to get the GALILEO password: You can get the password by calling the Library at 229-931-2266 You can get the password by stopping by the Library Service Desk. You can get the password by following the instructions on the next slide.

Using GALILEO Off Campus 1) From the Library homepage http://www.gsw.edu/Library, look underneath the link for GALILEO and you will see a link that says Obtain the GALILEO Password. 2) Follow the directions on the next screen to retrieve the off campus GALILEO password.
