Steam greenlight is an online game store
where you can pay a one - time fee to submit
your games to steam to try and get them to
put it on their website for people to purchase
it.
Steam allows anyone who is on steam to
purchase the games as long as you have an
account you can play big and small games
produced by a range of companies and small
time developers.
There is no time scale for the game because it
is an open time scale and the product is aimed
at anyone who plays games on steam so this
can range from children to adults.
In order to submit your game to steam you only
need to pass the legal and ethical checklist the
legal and ethical issues are resolved by not making
anything offensive to any race and by ensure the
game is suitable to play without any issues also
the game will be reviewed by the legal and ethical
team so they will check for anything and if they
think your game is suitable they will allow you to
put your game on steam.
Indie vs Pewdiepie is a website where the
You-Tuber asked his fans to make some
games for him and he will play them on
his channel this is so that he can interact
with his fans the client for this are Game
jolt they are the main client for this
because they set up the website. The
client wants the media to produce games
for the competition.
There isn’t much constraint s because
there isn’t much time and you must
follow the guidelines to get your game
judged.
The time scale to deliver the product was
72 hours but he also left it open after for
late entries this was so most of the
people sending there game in to make
the game manage to get them into the
competition.
The target audience for these games are
pewdiepie and the other judge’s people
are making the games for them so they
can have a chance to win the
competition.
The legal an ethical issues were resolved
by some rules such as no racism, no
homophobic bullying, and last but not
least nothing offensive this was to make
the game suitable for everyone.
The client is the company Global game jam and every year host a competition brief for anyone who
wants to, to come develop a video game in the space of a weekend. The time scale comes to around
48 hours and allows individuals or groups to work on their brief.
There is no specific audience as the brief is a short period
of time and is judged on the games quality rather then that
it’s aimed at.
The legal and ethical constraints are guideline within the
brief presentation shows to all competitors at the start
however there are the basic rules, of no hate speech or
personal attacks.
The only constraint that competitors receive is the time
scale as this constrains the scale of the project.
