Prelim coverage

This document provides an overview of topics to study for a general psychology prelim exam, including: the history and goals of psychology; early schools of thought like structuralism, functionalism, behaviorism, Gestalt, and psychoanalysis; the structure and types of neurons and how they communicate; the major neurotransmitters and divisions of the brain; the endocrine system including hormones and glands; and exam format which will include multiple choice and two short essays.
