The Clone Age Part 1

Scientists believe cloning technology could change life as we know it. A clone is an exact genetic copy of another organism. The first cloned mammals were sheep, including Dolly the sheep who was the first mammal cloned from an adult cell. While human cloning could save lives, it may also have consequences and ethical issues. Dolly was cloned through transferring the nucleus of an adult sheep cell into an egg cell from which the original nucleus had been removed. Dolly was special because she was the first mammal cloned from an adult cell, showing cloning is possible beyond just embryos.
