At the end of this lab you will be able to:
► Create requirements artifacts at the project level

► In this lab, you log in as Bob. You continue to populate the project with requirements artifacts.

Task 1: Create a requirement artifact
In this task, you create a requirement artifact in the JKE Business Recovery Matters project for a new feature. The
feature is described in the following table.

1. You are in the lab environment All Projects page of the RM application (https://jazz-
server:9443/rm/web). You are logged in as bob with password bob.
2. Navigate to the the JKE (Requirements Management) project Artifact page. Hint: In the My Projects section,
find the JKE Banking (Requirements Management) project and click Show Artifacts.
3. On the Artifacts page, click the arrow on the Create Artifact button, and click Feature.

4. In the “Create an artifact with attributes” window, specify information about the new artifact:
a. For the name, type Organizations may apply with an initial request.
b. For the artifact type, select Feature.
c. For the artifact format, select Text.
d. For the Folder to place the artifact in, browse to JKE Business Recovery Matters Project, and select the
Features folder.
e. In the Tags field, type Release 1.
f. Select the Open Artifact check box.

5. Click Finish. The artifact editor opens in edit mode.
6. Add content to this new artifact by using the information from the Content column of the table at the beginning
of this task. Format the text by using the formatting tools in the editor.

7. In the right sidebar, specify the attributes. Use the information in the Attributes column of the table at the
beginning of this task.

Note: To edit the attributes more easily, you can resize the right sidebar.
8. When you are finished, click Done.
9. Return to the Features folder of the JKE Business Recovery Matters project, and make sure that the new
requirement is listed.
Task 2: Create requirements by using the one-click create feature
In this task, you create artifacts for two additional feature requirements that have been identified. To create them
with the one-click create feature, you adjust the columns that are displayed on the Artifacts page.

1. If necessary, go to the JKE Business Recovery Matters Project folder, and select the Features folder.
2. Modify the Artifacts page to display attribute values in columns:
a. Click the Change Column Display Settings icon.

b. In the left column, select Business Priority, Difficulty, Primary text, and Status. Click Add to add the
columns.
c. Click the Move Up and Move down arrows to adjust the order of the columns so that are in this order: ID,
Name, Artifact Type, Primary Text, Business Priority, Difficulty, Status, and so forth.

d. Click OK.

The columns are displayed in the order that you specified.
3. On the Artifacts page, ensure that the Create Artifact button is labeled as Create Feature. If the button is not
labeled with that phrase, click the arrow on the button and click Feature.
4. Select the Use One-click Create check box.

5. Click Create Feature.
A new feature artifact is added to the top of the Artifacts page.

6. Detail the artifact with information as per the table at the beginning of this task.
a. Click the Name field and type the name for the artifact.
b. In the Primary Text field, click the Edit icon and type the primary text for the artifact.

When the Primary Text field enters edit mode, a formatting toolbar is displayed:

c. Set the attribute values for the Business Priority, Difficulty, and Status attributes by double-clicking their
column cells.
7. Click the arrow on the Save menu icon, and click Save Artifact.

8. Click Create Feature.
9. For the new artifact, type the name and primary text. Format the text by using the formatting toolbar.
10. Set the values for Business Priority, Difficulty, and Status.
11. Save the second new artifact.
