- 7. Platform as a Service Provides environment and tools for creating online applications. Our own created applications can be uploaded on the cloud. We are not concerned about the underlying architecture the application is running. Example: google's App Engine
- 8. Infrastructure as a Service Allows existing applications to be run on cloud supplier's hardware. We can host our own applications with our own system architecture and requirements. Hardware is provided by Infrastructure Service provider Example Amazon web services Rackspace

- 10. Private Cloud The cloud infrastructure is operated solely for an organization. It may be managed by the organization or a third party and may exist on premise or off premise.
- 11. Public cloud The cloud infrastructure is made available to the general public or a large industry group and is owned by an organization selling cloud services.
- 12. Hybrid cloud The cloud infrastructure is a composition of two or more types of clouds Example Computing capability in private cloud and storage in public cloud.
- 13. Characteristics of Cloud Computing With cloud computing, organizations can have on-demand self-service for computing capabilities, such as server time and network storage when needed, and through a single provider. computing resources are pooled to serve multiple consumer
- 14. Services are available through broad network access. Cloud capabilities can be provided to the subscriber rapidly and elastically, allowing the subscriber to either increase or decrease services.
