This document provides a rubric for evaluating a scientific method research paper project in a physics course. The rubric contains 5 levels of achievement (Novice, Competent, Proficient) to assess students on identifying a problem and source, describing how the scientific method was used, identifying initial observations and revisions, meeting requirements for length and citations, and proper spelling/grammar. Criteria include correctly identifying the steps in the scientific method applied to the research and explaining their relationship within the overall scientific method.
