         CHARACTERISTICS

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL TRANSPORTATION
External transport is how the animal moves on
the outside. Snakes have many different ways of
moving. Rectilinear motion is when the snake
uses its belly scales to move, Concertina motion
is when the snake side winds, and last Lateral
motion is when the snake thrusts its body left to
right. Internal transport is how the snake sends
nutrients through the body. A snakes internal Python
motion is its blood.
     Internal Fertilization
Is when a snake fertilizes the egg in the
body then lays the eggs and protects them until
they hatch.
     Nutrients
Nutrients are what the snake or any animal
needs to eat. A snake eats a variety of animals
witch are lizards, mice, rats, birds, other snakes, Rattle Snake copper head
and other small animals.
     Responses to Stimuli
Response to Stimuli are the snakes heat
receptors and tongue. A snakes heat receptors
are used to pick up heat and its tongue is used
to pick up odors.

Adaptations
                                                         Background of group
    Adaptations are what an animal
uses to survive and to hunt. A snake A snakes background comes from its name
uses many things as adaptation. They witch is thought up through a process. Snakes are
classified into two different groups which are

any appendages.
                                                         Food Chain
A snake plays in important part in a food
chain because it is a predator and prey. A snake is
also a prey so other animals can feed of them as
well. This is called a second order consumer.

                                                         General Structure
A snake structure is fairly simple with its long
slender body. A snakes body consists of a long set
of ribs and organs spread through out. A snake
also has a flexible jaw witch is not common in any
other animal. After a snake of any size eats it will
grow so the more it eats the longer it gets.

     Respiration
A snakes respiration system is its
lungs. A snake has a left and right lungs
that it uses to breathe. The snake is a
lot like a human because they have
most of the same organs. I snake also
breaths the same way as humans.

     Regulation
Regulation is how a snake keeps its
body in check and relieves impurities.
Snakes digest all or any impurities that
its body does not need or not wants.

  Other organism’s in group
Some other reptiles in the group would be a chameleon, cobra, rattle snake, python, and other lizards and
  turtles.

  Odd Ball
An odd ball would be a blind snake which is not actually blind.

  Type of symmetry
A snake has bilateral symmetry which means that the left and right side of the snake looks the same. This
kind of symmetry is found on most reptiles and also on humans.
  Extinct or Endangered
There is a snake extinct that is the size of a T-Rex 43 feet long and 2500lbs. An endangered snake is a broad
  headed snake from Australia.
  Importance to Human life
Snakes are very important to humans because they are used for Medicine, food is some areas of the world,
clothes, and pest control for farmers.
  Facts
Poisonous snakes have diamond shaped heads. Largest snake in the world is 43 feet long and 2500 pounds !!!!!
