Bias is
 a: BENT, TENDENCY
 b: an inclination of temperament or
  outlook; especially: a personal and
  sometimes unreasoned judgment:
  PREJUDICE

Author’s use bias to persuade the reader
into thinking a certain way.

 Campaign    Commercials:
 Candidates use these commercials with
  the intention of getting the viewer’s vote.
