- 8. SUSTAINABILITY WHAT IT MEANS AND WHY IT IS IMPORTANT If something is sustainable it is able to be maintained and continually work for a long period of time. Sustainability is important because if we weren’t sustainable then we would run out of resources and wouldn’t be able to function properly. Our buildings are sustainable because we have built the from materials which can be found easily and will not run out soon. We have also included solar panels and water tanks so that we have sustainable and environmentally-friendly energy and water use.
- 9. ASPECTS OF A SUSTAINABLE DESIGN The first thing that I am including in my design is two water tanks. I am adding these tanks so when it rains the tanks will catch most of the water. I am also having a underground watering system to water the plants trees. I also have a water feature that is in the middle of my design that will need water to flow through, so by installing two water tanks I can use one of the tanks for the water feature which will function through recycling water and the other tank can be used for the garden. The second piece that is in my design is a solar panels. I am adding solar panels will help my design to be environmentally friendly by collecting heat from the sun to run my building. With putting in solar panels it will reduce the electricity bills and be environmentally friendly. It will also demonstrate to the community how to reduce electricity costs and an example of how to be environmentally friendly. The final piece that I am adding are some native trees and plants. By having native trees in my design it will help save water because they will be accustomed to the climate and not need as much water as other trees. It will also promote other people to use native plants as they will see how they naturally work in their chosen environment. Supporting native plants creates a healthy relationship with the environment and will attract the native birds and animals.

- 11. WHAT IS IN WENTWORTH POINT Wentworth Point is a developing site. It includes many apartments and not much housing. It has a public school and a child care center. It also includes many businesses for example: cafes, pharmacies, dentists and many more.
- 12. WHERE IS WENTWORTH POINT Wentworth Point is located one of the inner suburbs within Western Sydney. It is about 15 kilometers from Sydney’s Business Central. It is also near Rhodes and Homebush and is on the southern side of Parramatta River.
- 13. WHY IS WENTWORTH WORTH LIVING IN? Wentworth point is worth all of this trouble because it is in such a convenient spot as it is near Homebush and Rhodes. Wentworth Point also has luxurious views out to the Parramatta river.
