John Aaronson approaches Dwight Scott at lunch to warn him about getting involved in fights and standing up for others. He explains that doing so will make Dwight a target for bullies and could endanger his life. John advises Dwight that while standing up against injustice is important, he should be smarter about it and avoid building a reputation as a vigilante. John also reveals that the girl Dwight defended, Abby Grace, is actually very tough and skilled in martial arts, so she doesn't need his help. He tells Dwight it's best sometimes to just be a good person yourself rather than confronting others.

- 3. Yeah? What About Her? She Is A TOUGH GIRL. She Can Take Care Of Herself. You Really Don’t Need To Go Around Standing Up For People Playing Hero Like That.
- 4. I’d Have Done That For Anyone But Why? ? Because I’m Sick And Tired Of Bullies Let Me Explain Something!!

- 7. If We Just Go Around Getting Involved In Fights We Start To Build Up Enemies. You Won’t Notice It At First. Then, Slowly, Your Reputation Builds Up. Next Thing You Know, Dwight Scott Is Now The Target Of Every Bully.
- 8. Well thank you, I don’t want to do that. But if you were there, you would have seen what those two guys were about to do to her. It would have made you mad too Look, I know that you were doing the right thing in standing up for that girl but if you keep on doing stuff like that, by that I mean being a vigilante and building up a reputation as a vigilante, you will make yourself a target.
- 9. Trust me, when people do those kinds of things, it makes me mad. Some things around here make me very upset, trust me. But sometimes, you need to not do anything about it. Why not? Well, for a few reasons. First of all, Abby Grace is a really tough nutshell, as you have learned. Trust me, she does not need you’re help. Sure she is only 18, but she is about as strong as forty Tomko toy trucks and has a black belt in karate, tae kwon doe and in Ha Kae Do. That explains a lot.
- 10. Also, you faced a huge example of how sick a lot of people are in the bully niche. But you faced a very small example of how dangerous those kinds of people are. You not only make yourself a target when you do those kinds of things, but you also make yourself at a risk of life and death. We need people to stand up, but also to smarten up.
