- 2. Biography David Hockney has often been regarded as a playboy of the art world. He has had lascivious relationships, and he has run among strange and crazy artistic circles. Yet he has always retained a sense of stability in his life through his constant and tireless devotion to his work. Hockney is an artist that has always enjoyed success and praise, facing little to no hardship in his career. What is interesting about his life is not the problems he has encountered, but the strides he has taken to bypass much human suffering and malaise.

David Hockney , CH, RA, (born 9 July 1937) is an English painter, draughtsman, printmaker, stage designer and photographer, who is based in Bridlington, Yorkshire, although he also maintains a base in London. An important contributor to the Pop art movement of the 1960s, he is considered one of the most influential British artists of the twentieth century.
- 4. Why we choose this artist? We choose his work because it’s look simple but not normal. We like the way he paint, some picture looks very simple but when he painted it look fantastic. He can draw well in everything, the view, the things, and even people. His work is always colorful. We also like we he painted in striking protrait. His works look perfect!

Southern California themes are easy to recognize in Hockney's work including its architecture, manicured lawns and sunny skies. "Beverly Hills Housewife" is an example of the importance the Los Angeles lifestyle held for him. - Picasso was one of Hockney's role models in his demonstration of creative freedom and original thinking. put it in interesting information
- 6. Description about his work.. David Hockney has received great critical acclaim. From the representational nature of his more serious portraits to the depictions of the Californian landscape, his style is always distinctive and versatile. In the 1960s, Hockney moved to California, where the swimming pool became one of his favorite themes. Openly gay, Hockney often made reference to his homosexuality in his work. Hockney wasn't painting pornography; he was portraying gay male couples in domestic situations. His work is simple but not simple as what we think . His painting is usaully in jokey mood. He also likes to painted some striking portraits .
