Services are broken down into 3 categories:
Training Services
Career Services
 Self Directed- No Eligibility
 Individualized- Eligibility Requirement
Business Services
Training Services
Basic eligibility requirements:
Must be authorized to work in the United States and be registered with Selective
Service, if applicable, and meet one of the following:
 Adult/Youth - Have had a fairly low income over the past six months, have received food
stamps/TANF within the past six months, be considered basic skills deficient, or homeless.
 In School Youth Services - focus on youth attending school - ages 14-21.
 Out of School Youth Services - focus on youth not attending school - ages 16-24.
 Dislocated Worker - Have lost a job within the past four years due to business
closure, lack of work, honorable military discharge, self-employed but unemployed due to
economic conditions or natural disasters or pending personal business closure.
 Displaced Homemaker - Have depended on the income of a spouse and lost
access to that income.
Training Services
Additional training requirements:
 Programs are limited to two years and must result in a degree
or certificate– Applied Science Associate degrees, Certificates, or last two years of
a Bachelors Degree.
 Must be accepted into an approved high growth training
program – examples: LPN, RN, Welding, CDL, Computer Networking, etc.
Training Services
Training Assistance Includes:
 Tuition Funding – Up to $22,000 for required tuition and fees.
 Required books and supplies per semester
 Required Uniforms
 Licensing Fees
 Childcare Assistance (if eligible)
 Mileage Assistance
 Monthly Career Planner Support
 Employment assistance and guidance for one year after training
Training Services
How to apply:
 Complete and submit a training application on our
website. www.careerlinkil.com
 Applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior
to the start of classes.
 Participants will be contacted by a Career Planner to
complete an assessment, basic skills testing, and
enrollment, if eligible.
