The ARCHIVER project is a 36-month, 3.4M euro procurement to develop archiving and data preservation services for scientific data using commercial cloud services. It includes several procuring organizations and expert partners. The project aims to address the challenges of archiving petabyte-scale scientific data under fair and standardized principles. It will develop services aligned with OAIS reference models through an open tender process involving suppliers. The resulting commercialized services could support various European research infrastructures and the European Open Science Cloud.
