1 revision session for core 1 surds and quadratics

The Community Maths School structure revision programme for the Core 1 exam.

CMS Hint – Completing the square will give you the max or min point of the parabola curve
(x‐a)2
+ b      min point (a,b)
CMS Hint – the Discriminant is very useful technique it will be used in solving quadratics and also in
simultaneous equations – line and curve ‐ showing that the line is a tangent – repeated roots
