Type	and/	Make	of	equipment: CCT Minuette Fresnel

Description:

This is a basic cover light and creates a general wash of
light on the stage. The colour of the light can be changed
using a gel and Barn Doors can be used to direct the beam
and isolate certain parts of the stage. The light can be
focused manually using the knob on the bottom for a
sharper or softer definition. The light has a beam throw
of 18 - 57 degrees.
Key	Components	&	Accessories:

 G-Clamp
 Safety Chain
 650w Halogen Bulb

This is a basic cover light and creates a general wash of
light on the stage. The colour of the light can be changed
using a gel and Barn Doors can be used to direct the beam
and isolate certain parts of the stage. The light can be
focused manually using the knob on the back to adjust the
beam angle. This light supports the use of a 1k bulb and
so produces are brighter beam of light. The light has a
beam throw of 6-60 degrees. Due to the wider throw and
brightness of this light, the DTS Scena would be
preferable to use for a general wash as opposed to other
Fresnels as you wouldn’t need as many thus freeing room
on the rig.

Description:

This light creates a sharper edge of light than a Fresnel
using a Pebble Convex lense. The dial on the bottom can
focus the beam, but this will only alter the size, not the
definition and for this reason the light can also be used
as a spotlight. The colour of the light can be changed
using a gel and Barn Doors can be used to direct the beam
and isolate certain parts of the stage. The light has a
beam throw of 18-57 degrees.

Type	and/	Make	of	equipment: CCT Minuette Profile

Description:

This profile light is used for more specialist lighting
effects e.g. Change in definition to create a spotlight
effect or to subtly light certain parts of the stage to
draw attention to it. Colour can be added with the use of
a gel. Shutters can be used to shape the light and an
Iris will make the beam even smaller. Gobos can also be
used to create a shape from light. E.g Trees or a
window. The light has a beam throw of 17-36 degrees.

saving bulb making the beam brighter with less power and able to
last longer. The Light has a beam throw of 25-50 degrees. This
light would be more beneficial t o use over other Profiles as
it requires less power to run and is also brighter.

Type	and/	Make	of	equipment: Parcan

Description:

This is a beam light and provides a very bright wash,
often used in concerts or to add depth to a scene. The
brightness of the Parcan also allows the use of Gels to
get a very clear wash of colour. The beam cannot be
focused however as the bulb, lense and reflector are all
one unit. Three different bulbs can be used to change the
size of the beam.
Key	Components	&	Accessories:

 G-Clamp
 Safety Chain
 1000w CP60 (Creates narrow beam) 12 degrees beam throw
 1000w CP61 (Creates medium sized beam) 14 degrees beam throw
 1000w CP62 (Creates wide beam) 24 degrees beam throw
 Gel Frame

Type	and/	Make	of	equipment: Strand Nocturne Floodlight

Description:

The Floodlight gives a very wide spread of light. The beam
can’t be focused manually as this depends on where the
light is positioned. The bright light allows the use of
gels for a bright wash of colour. Often used for Blinders
in concerts or to light the Cyclorama.

Type	and/	Make	of	equipment: L.E.D Parcan

Description:

This is a beam light and provides a very bright wash,
often used in concerts. The light is created through a
mixture of red, green and blue lights which you mix for a
desired colour, no gels are needed. This colour can be
changed manually on the back of the light or through the
lighting desk. The L.E.D also reacts to noise and can
change according to different rhythms. The beam cannot be
focused however as the bulb, lense and reflector are all
one unit. Due to the low voltage of the light, overheating
is also not an issue.

Type	and/	Make	of	equipment: PinSpot

Description:

This is a small beam light and provides a very bright
wash, often used to light a mirror ball. As with the
Parcan the bulb, lense and reflector are al the same unit
so you cannot manually focus the beam. The light will not
support the use of a gel; a coloured bulb must be used to
change the beam’s colour.
