Case Study: Good Shepherd Catholic Church

 Three key challenges we faced that caused us to do things more systematically

      Volume of workload (80 processes, open 7-days/week; 13 hours/day; very diverse community -
age, culture, socio-economic) impacting our ability to provide service (we call it pastoral care)
         excellence
 No single source of truth (customer master)
 No single application met our parish needs (we had a variety of applications in use)

 Approach to solving the challenges

      methodologies,
      primary metrics,
      tools and datasets

 Results

 How the approached solved the problems
      What we learned
 How sensitive the solutions are to the variables

 Path forward

 There is more capability to make processes more efficient and robust to meet our needs
 There are similar problem areas that to which we can apply this solution
 Application can be utilized by other parishes

 Managing Change

      Governance - Records | Document Management
 Workload shift - changing job responsibilities
 Utilization of staff and volunteers
 Keeping the back-office in synch with web-office

 Workflow Opportunities - applying refinements to our processes
