eParticipation initiatives: How is Europe progressing?

This paper examines the progress and current trends of eparticipation initiatives across Europe, identifying 255 initiatives from 18 countries that cater to various levels of public participation. The research highlights that most initiatives are operational at local and national levels and predominantly funded by EU resources, focusing on areas like consultation and information provision. It emphasizes the need for improved participation practices, particularly in enhancing transparency and accountability in governance.
