“ Natural History Prints”  by John Green An exhibit of photographs  by the  Artist, Naturalist and Guide. January 5 th to  May 8th ISEL:  Integrated Science & Engineering Library    
UMass Amherst Housing and Residence Life invites applications for  Resident Assistant, Apartment Living Advisor, and Peer Mentor  positions for Fall 2009. All information can be found at:  http://www.housing.umass.edu/staff/index.html Apartment Living Advisors  (ALAs) are live-in, part-time, student staff members in the North apartment buildings. This position is very similar to the RA position.  Peer Mentors  are undergraduate students who live-in our first year residence halls and assist first year students with their transition into college. Amongst other aspects of their job, Peer Mentors work closely with students to help them find academic resources throughout the university.  RA and ALA Applications DUE March 2nd! These are designed to be convenient and relevant to students and faculty doing research, and can be embedded in SPARK. The UMass Amherst Libraries is conducting a brief survey to assess how electronic resources are used. The survey will run during randomly selected times from now until August 2009.  During the survey, users will be required to answer 5 short questions before accessing the electronic resources.  This information will help us better understand how our resources support research, teaching, and coursework.

Quiet study areas on 2 nd  and 3 rd  floors  provide comfortable seating, electrical outlets, and wireless Internet access Drop-in carrels on 7 th  and 10 th  floors  offer individual study space; day-use lockers also located on these floors. To report noise in quiet areas  in the Library, call  1-2272  from a phone in any elevator lobby, or go to the Building Operations Desk on the entrance level.
