The majority of SaaS companies in Southeast Asia are less than 2 years old, with over a third being in their first year of business. Two thirds use a SaaS/subscription business model, with 70% deriving over half their revenue from subscriptions. Half of companies grew with little or no funding, though over a third raised over $500,000. Google Analytics is the most commonly used analytics tool, while AWS is the dominant web hosting platform and MailChimp the top marketing software. Customer support tools vary more widely, though ZenDesk is most popular, while no payment gateway dominates.
