Comprestimator is a tool used to estimate compression and thin provisioning savings of a volume with minimal impact on system load. It is integrated with SVC storage systems to schedule volume estimations and display results. Comprestimator estimates volumes in order with one volume analyzed per node at a time to keep host IO uninterrupted and system load low. Estimations usually complete in under a minute but could take a few minutes on a heavily loaded system.
