 We are certified through Adult Learning Councils to proctor exams; a $10 fee
may be applied if the exam needs to be directly supervised

ExerciseandGeneralInterest
Noon Hour Yoga
Noon Hour Hatha Yoga Class! 26 foundational poses plus breathing and relaxation practices, all taught in a systematic,
progressive style that includes details and demonstrations. This yoga practice will unite your breath with your
movement, revive your senses and release your spirit. Please bring your own yoga mat, blanket & water. Maximum 10
participants!

Gentle Yoga
Relaxation is probably the most under-rated wellness practice of our age, and it is particularly helpful to counter the
effects of stress on the mind and the body. Gentle Yoga is accessible and supportive for seniors, those experiencing
illness, people recovering from injury and those suffering from the symptoms of stress. Please bring a yoga mat,
blanket and a bottle of water. Maximum 8 participants!

Strength & Balance Yoga
Strength & Balance Yoga will create a strong foundation for your own practice. It is an energizing and dynamic class
that results in strength, flexibility and stamina. This class will leave you feeling radiant, strong, calm and centered.

Work Hard, Rest Deeply Yoga
The first part of this class will focus on practicing with an attitude of lightness and play to warm the body and free the
mind. The second part of the class will be restorative yoga poses to teach us how to self– nurture and to encourage us
to enter into a state of rest and thus to replenish deeply in these very stressful and busy times. Please bring a yoga
mat, blanket, eye covering and a bottle of water. Maximum 8 participants!

Zumba in Milo
Come and join the party, see what it’s all about! Learn Merengue Salsa, Samba and many other world dances while
shedding calories and toning your body. This cardio workout is fun for all ages and body types. Wear runners and

Bootcamp
This is for all fitness levels and incorporates resistance training, cardio and plyometrics into a group circuit style
setting. We will focus mainly on body weight and free weight exercises. Bring your runners and a water bottle!

FirstAidandSafety
Weekday First Aid
This is a two-day course and will cover the skills needed for Emergency First Aid, including head and spinal injuries
and upper and lower limb fractures. Also includes Level C CPR and AED training. Certificate provided upon
completion of course. Maximum 8 participants!

First Aid Recertification
This is a one day course to renew your standard first aid certificate. You must have a valid St. John Ambulance first

Canadian Non-Restricted Firearms Safety
Completing this course not only gives you a license to purchase firearms and ammunition but will teach you: safe
handling and use, firearms laws, how to store, display and transport firearms and ammunition. Maximum 8
participants!

Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety
Completing this course gives you a license to purchase a restricted firearm (mainly handguns) also teaches safe
handling and use, firearms laws, how to store, display and transport firearms and ammunition. You must have

Computing Fundamentals
Are you new to computers? Computers can be overwhelming to the new user. Let us show you how a computer works. In
this workshop we will help familiarize you with the keyboard, mouse, and other general computer components. This
workshop is taught using the Windows 8.1 operating system and shows you how to organize your files with folders and
learn to search your computer for your files and programs. The Internet or World Wide Web can open up a whole new
library of information and uses for your computer. We will teach you about search engines, website addresses, and how to
bookmark and organize your favourite websites so that you can find what you need on the Internet. Everyone has to start
somewhere!

Windows 8/8.1 Operating Systems
Windows 8/8.1 is quickly becoming the operating system most widely used in homes and businesses. Learn the important
features of the Windows 8/8.1 operating system including rearranging the start screen and personalizing your desktop. This
workshop will enable you to perform more of the tasks you want to do on your computer as well as help you efficiently
work within your operating system. Build on your essential computer skills by understanding the new Windows8/8.1
Operating System. Learn about working within the control panel, system updates and settings, user accounts, connecting to
a network, sharing files and using windows search tools.
For new computer users we recommend our Computing Fundamentals as a prerequisite to this course.

Learn to work with worksheets and workbooks to analyze data using a variety of features to create, modify and format
common business reports such as budgets, inventory reports, invoices, and charts. This course is designed for individuals
who require the skills necessary to use a spreadsheet program on a daily basis to manage and audit numerical reports.

course is designed for computer users who use this presentation manager program on a daily basis in a business
environment.

Become proficient with your QuickBooks® accounting software to manage all your business accounting needs. This course is
designed to save you time and allow you to use your QuickBooks® accounting software to its full capabilities. Topics include
customizing templates, advanced reporting, utilizing the payroll module, inventory, job costing, budgeting, creating letters
and data base management features. For individuals who are new to using QuickBooks® we recommend our QuickBooks®
Beginner course as a prerequisite. Adequate typing and basic computer skills are also recommended.

Learn to utilize the New QuickBooks® Online® accounting software to manage your small business accounting needs. Topics
include invoicing, accounts payable, managing accounts receivables, GST, account reconciliations, and basic financial
reporting. QuickBooks Online is new to Canada and is an affordable option for small businesses with basic accounting needs.
This course is designed to teach you the basic features of this online accounting program. Topic areas cover everything you
need to complete a basic bookkeeping cycle. Adequate typing and basic computer skills are recommended for this
courseware.

Growing older is part of life. This compassionate and comprehensive class will provide tools, techniques and insights
into this passage. You will learn what to expect, what to watch for , how to deal with physical and emotional challeng-
es and where to find help. You’ll understand the impact of retirement, how to choose a nursing home and to prepare
