GOAL High School Mission and Vision
 Mission – To develop productive members of society
 Vision – Help all students achieve their full potential in a
caring, supportive, and personalized environment.
THRIVE Path
 All students at GOAL High School will be asked to take the THRIVE Plan
Academic Survey and complete YouScience.
 The survey will help the counseling team help you think about your plans
after high school: college, workforce, or military.
 YouScience is a series of assessments that help you understand your abilities
and talents. YS helps give you an idea of what career(s) you might be
successful in, or help guide you towards a career path you may have never
thought about.
THRIVE
There are 5 programs offered in the COS Region, that gives our students opportunities in
college or trade school:

Nursing & Therapy Services of Colorado (NTSOC)
4. MC3 Pre-Apprenticeship Program that is available to students who are 17 years old and older
5. D49 Construction and Culinary Arts
Questions to ask yourself
1. What career(s) are you interested in?
2. What do you know about Concurrent Enrollment or Trade School?
3. Why are you interested in Concurrent Enrollment or Trade School?
4. Are you ready to make the time and academic commitment?
Concurrent Enrollment
The vision of GOAL Academy’s Concurrent Enrollment
program, is to promote and ensure affordable and equitable
access to successful college learning. We are here to help
you create a personalized plan to fit your individual career
or college goals with ongoing support from your licensed
school counselor.
Concurrent Enrollment = FREE COLLEGE!
Pikes Peak Community College
GOAL Academy’s Concurrent Enrollment program, allows high school students
the opportunity to take free college courses towards professional and industrial
certifications, associate degrees, or transfer credits to four-year colleges and
universities.
Concurrent Enrollment can offset hundreds, and in many cases, thousands of
dollars in tuition costs for core academic courses like English, math, history, or
science, and also career and technical courses such as automotive/diesel,
computer-aided design and drafting (CAD), construction, criminal justice,
culinary arts, cyber security, graphic and interior design, welding, and other
career pathways.
PPCC has three campuses that students can take courses at:
• Centennial Campus (main campus)
• Rampart Range Campus
• Downtown Studio Campus
Eligibility
Students in grades 9-12 are able to take concurrent enrollment courses, based on
the following requirements.
• Acceptance into the Concurrent Enrollment Program must be approved by a school
counselor or administrator.
• College courses should apply to a student’s Success Plan/ICAP and help to fulfill
their graduation requirements
• College credit hours that do not meet the district’s high school graduation
requirements or that exceed the number of necessary credits per semester will be
considered on a case by case basis and need to be approved by the school
counselor after review of student’s Success Plan/ICAP.
