- #2: The fact that you are now at this event, 3D printing for the home, shows us that something very very significant has happened. A powerful technology is becoming accessible, more and more, to people like you and me. And the access is actually really what excites me more than the technology part. Well...
- #3: I say sufficiently, because it's not about the technology. The technology was patented and took 17 years for a key patent to run out. It's not something so advanced that nobody else would have developed it. So that makes it hard to justify the patent-system.
- #4: And in January of this year, together with Martijn Elserman, Siert Wijnia and the help of many many people, we founded Ultimaking Ltd., that sells the Ultimaker. A fast, affordable, high-resolution 3D printer that can print fairly large-sized objects.
